Entries for the third running of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K scheduled for Sunday, April 13 opened this morning.


 “We are excited to open entries for the 2025 Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K, marking the start of a thrilling new season for the Absa RUN YOUR CITY SERIES and celebrating the third anniversary of this remarkable event in the ‘Friendly City’,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder.

A mass participation 10km road run, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K route showcases the city’s iconic landmarks while offering participants a glimpse of its magnificent beauty. Whether you’re an experienced elite athlete, a recreational runner, or a first-time participant, this event offers an unforgettable experience and is sure to inspire you and leave you excited for future races.

According to Genevieve Laycock, EPA Road Running Chairperson, it is an honour to be part of such a prestigious event. “Gqeberha’s passion for sport shone brightly during the exceptional Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K in 2023 and 2024,” says Laycock. “For 2025, we warmly invite runners, walkers, and corporate teams to join us in this incredible challenge. Your participation not only enhances your personal journey but also uplifts our community as a whole.”


Runners and walkers are encouraged to secure their spots early to avoid the disappointment of missing out. Enter on www.runyourcityseries.com for a fee of R255.00 for licensed runners, Non-licensed runners will have to purchase a temporary license for R20. The Gqeberha race will start at 7 am at Beach Road, Humewood, Gqeberha. Entries Close: Wednesday 02 April 2025 or once capacity has been reached.
