Adidas boots help earn me ‘cool uncle’ status.

There are a few things as delightful as putting a smile on a loved one’s face and I did this for a nephew of mine thanks to the good people at Adidas South Africa.

Though I write about football, I don’t play it and so when I received a pair of Adidas’s Vivid Horizon Footwear pack that was launched back in September, I knew I had to give them to someone who’d appreciate them. This young man had been pestering me about helping him get trials with one of the professional clubs although he’s yet to convince me he will make it there.

To say he was happy to receive the boots would be putting it mildly – the boy was over the moon. No sooner had he received the boots than he was heading to the ground to show off to his mates.

“They are going to see that I am as good as Messii in these Predators,” he chimed.

Well, that was his story and he was sticking to it.  But such is the power of association.

And the Predator 24 boots from Adidas have infused my nephew with great confidence and he now takes to the field with a swagger and has become the envy of his teammates.
